Dear Parents,

Welcome to Ms.Butcher's classroom website!  I am a strong believer that  student success depends on communication between the teacher and the parent. With that in mind, I created a class website to encourage communication between parents, students, and myself.  In addition to having the option of calling me at school or sending a note with your child, I can also be reached via e-mail.  If you ever have a question, concern, or something you would like to share with me, please feel free to use the contact me link located above.  I check my e-mail multiple times each day and make it a priority to be prompt in responding to messages.

This website and edmodo will help keep you up-to-date on what we're learning in the classroom.  Each week, a listing of daily homework assignments can be found on the edmodo page. In order to give you an idea of what's to come, important dates for things like upcoming tests and projects will be constantly updated on the calendar page on edmodo.
In addition, the course outlines for each English class is located under your child's English 7 section.

What can you do to support us and your child at home?

1.       ATTENDANCE: Make sure your child comes to school.  If he/she is absent, make sure he/she has a note to excuse them.

2.      ESTABLISH A ROUTINE:  Establish a regular time for homework each afternoon or evening, set aside a quiet, well lit place, and encourage your child to study.

3.       ASK QUESTIONS AND LISTEN: Ask them questions about what they are reading and learning about in school.

4.       COME TO US:  We are a team.  Your child needs you and me to work together, so don’t hesitate to  contact me if you have any concerns.

Once again, welcome to Ms. Butcher's classroom on the Web.  Any feedback regarding how I can make this site better would be greatly appreciated.  Enjoy the site!

Best wishes,

Camille Butcher
